Overall, throw back to shooters of old. The story was somewhat lacking, but enjoyed the comedic elements and wish more of the story was fleshed out in terms of the who Mental is and so forth especially for those who haven't played the previous installments or forgotten them.
Overall good challenge, but waves became tedious after awhile (can take an hour or more just to clear a level). Basically, think tower defense game with regards to mobs, but in a run and gun FPS setting.
