Aesthetic and Mystery

I saved this game to play in autumn, expecting it to be a cozy mystery game, and it really exceeded my expectations. It was cozy and mysterious, yes, but also way spookier than I thought it would be, with great voice acting, better choice mechanics than some other 'fork in the road' games I've experienced, and just a beautiful handdrawn style to it. The characters themselves and certain elements are 3d, but they join so well the backgrounds which are like that out of old disney movies. It's simple, but very fitting for the setting and I enjoyed it very much. Some great twists in the plotline and an actually interesting replay option really brought it home for me.
The small detracted half star is just because of how I would have liked certain characters to be a little different, but that's just my personal whims. They're well written as they are.
